Healthy Summer Detoxification: Measuring and Reducing Toxic Burden
Presented by Dr. Chris D. Meletis, ND
Summer is not only full of sunshine, it provides abundant opportunity to sweat, exercise, and detoxify. There is no better time to start your patients on a plan to bring down their toxic burden.
Unfortunately, pollutants and chemicals such as benzene, toluene, parabens, phthalates, and styrenes are commonplace in our air, water, and food, as well as in many of the products we use, and ongoing exposure can have anywhere from mild to severe health consequences. A targeted detoxification program, however, can set patients on a path toward better health.
Can a person really "sweat it out"? In this webinar, we'll discuss this controversy and the role of physical activity in mobilizing toxins. You'll also learn how laboratory testing such as US BioTek's Environmental Pollutant Panel can be a critical tool in assessing your patients' unique detoxification needs, and serve to motivate, empower, and educate on nutraceuticals and foods to support detoxification. We'll also cover the “hormone disruptor effect” of common toxins and their role in endocrine dysregulation, mental health, and cellular health.
