Antibody Assessment

Through US BioTek’s proprietary ELISA methodology, a multi-well plate is coated with purified food proteins and glycoproteins or, inhalants at a specific concentration. The patient’s serum sample is then added to the plate. If the patient’s serum contains antibodies to any of these specific and defined food or inhalant proteins, a binding reaction will occur. The degree of antibody-antigen binding is dependent on the concentration of antibodies present in the patient’s serum. This reaction is detected through a color change and assessed spectrophotometrically.

US BioTek Laboratories has set a new standard for identifying and quantifying both serum IgE and IgG antibodies in response to Foods, Inhalants, Spices, and Herbs. Employing cutting edge methodology and super-tight quality control, our state-of-the-art ELISA (Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay) tests are becoming the obvious choice for today's clinicians.

Antigen Standardization - We start with the highest quality reagents available and take further care to standardize each antigen (food, inhalant, spice or herb).

All Results are Run in DUPLICATE - This ensures a valid and precise assay with repeatable test results.
Our Assay Quantifies True Antibody Levels - Positive and negative controls are run with each individual blood sample ensuring accurate results. Results are presented as antibody levels against respective antigens.
Report includes both Total IgG and IgE values.
