19 Food IgE Panel

An IgE mediated allergic reaction is known as Type 1, or immediate hypersensitivity. Symptoms typically occur soon after exposure to the allergen, and range from mild to severe - they can even be life-threatening.

Our 19-Food panel assesses IgE response to 19 foods, carefully selected for their potential reactivity and their relevance to modern diets. The test can be ordered independently or bundled with our 144- or 96-food IgG/IgG4/IgA panels for more comprehensive information.

Testing Process

US BioTek runs all IgE panels on a sophisticated FDA-approved immunoassay analyzer that utilizes enzyme-amplified chemiluminescence technology. Chemiluminescence provides lower detection limits than conventional ELISA, making it particularly suitable for IgE detection, which can be hard to detect due to its short half-life compared to other immunoglobulins.
