Specimen collected on an expired kit or specimen that has not been sealed securely in the top lock bag, containing desiccant provided. These may result in a damp specimen on arrival. Overly dilute urine sample may result in a low creatinine value. This may render test results non-reportable.
Sorbic acid/sorbate or benzoic acid/sodium benzoate food preser- vatives may interfere with the reporting for benzene & toluene metabolites.
5-10 business days from receipt of specimen.
Foods containing sorbic acid/sorbate or benzoic acid/sodium benzoate as preservatives should be avoided for 48 hours prior to urine collection.
