How do I set-up an account?
To open an account with US BioTek Laboratories, the practitioner must be authorized under his or her scope of practice to order laboratory testing. The ability to order laboratory testing is linked to a profession's authority to interpret results for the purposes of diagnosis for decisions regarding patient treatment. If you are unsure whether your license covers the ordering of laboratory tests, please contact your state Department of Health, Health Professions Quality Assurance.
You may call US BioTek Client Services at 877-318-8728 or use our Request Information page with your request to open an account. Please have your medical license number available.
How much does testing cost?
Complete fee information is available upon request to the licensed health care practitioner only.
Will insurance pay for testing?
Yes. Although US BioTek is not contracted with any medical insurance carrier, testing is reimbursable by many. Payment for testing services may be made through an account set up with us under the ordering practitioner's name, or sent in directly with the patient's specimen.
How may I obtain test kits/supplies?
As a licensed health care practitioner you may call our Client Services Dept. to request, free of charge, test kit/supplies.
How do I ship patient specimens?
We offer pre-paid 2nd day FedEx shipment for liquid serum and 24-hour urine specimens for the 48 contiguous U.S.A. states and pre-paid USPS mailers for dried blood and urine spot specimens for the U.S.A inclusive.
For international and overseas shipment of specimens, the shipper is responsible for all fees incurred. Please consult with your international carrier for their particular guidelines and specifications to avoid any shipment delays of specimens.
All specimens are shipped at room temperature. For a detailed listing of specimen transport times please refer the respective test panel.
What do the test results mean?
Lab results are only part of a comprehensive health evaluation. Diagnostic and treatment decisions are made by the practitioner with the focus on all aspects of the patient's current medical condition. US BioTek's test reports are easy to read and self-explanatory. We provide a complimentary 4-day Elimination and Rotation Diet Guideline and food family guide booklet with every Food Antibody Assay in addition to a welcoming patient cover letter. Our Urinary Metabolic Profile and Environmental Pollutants Profile include a customized treatment guideline provided by Lab Interpretation, LLC who may provide additional consultation services to the practitioner. For additional technical support please contact our Client Services Dept.
US BioTek will not discuss test results or procedures directly with the patient. Patients are referred back to the practitioner for consultation and follow-up.
How and when do I get my patient's test results?
All results of tests are reported to the practitioner who assumes the responsibility of relaying the information to the patient.
All results remain confidential and are mailed to the practitioner's office directly. Fax and email services are provided on request to expedite. For a detailed listing of our test turnaround times please refer to our test overviews under the respective test panel. The practitioner may also pick-up completed test results online.
